An Immune System Booster In Action To Protect Our Bodies
An immune system booster is something most of us think the least of, and yet our immune system can get affected by several factors for it to stop functioning properly. Many of these factors that can stress our immune system include, poor sleep, overeating or malnutrition, work or relationship stress, financial burdens, travel, excess sugar or chemicals in one’s diet, infections, allergies, injury or surgery, and the environment. It is important that we maintain a good immune system to protect us from diseases through healthy foods and immune system booster supplements.
Our immune system is our body’s natural defense system against foreign materials that have penetrated the skin or mucous membranes. It consists of cells that race into action to defend our bodies against disease-causing agent that comes its way. Just like anything, it needs an immune system booster to get it to function at its maximum capacity.
There are many sources from supplements and herbs, in addition to maintaining a good diet that can boost our immune system. The immune system booster supplements can include:
Gladulars (supplement extracts from animal glands, thymus and liver), Vitamins (A, C, E, B-complex), Minerals (zinc, selenium, copper, and iron (but avoid excess iron)).
Herbs that are known to provide immune system support include Reishi, a beautiful red and black mushroom that calms your nervous system, Shiitake, a potent mushroom, Astragalus, one of the most highly-respected immune-boosting herbs, which is the sliced and dried root of a small, Chinese, perennial plans from the pea family, and Fucoidan, a natural extract of brown seaweed that grows in the pristine Pacific Ocean. Most of these herbs have benefits that prevent diseases, including cancer.
There is a gel supplement called
UMI,
which is an excellent immunity system booster, and has Fucoidan as its main ingredient. This is another product in a gel form with a green apple flavoring that I am able to take anytime of the day, whether I am in the house or out and about. I feel this is my way of prevention against diseases, in addition to improving my diet and getting into a regular exercise program.
